Phnom Pehn, Cambodia | March 2006

I didn't make a connection in Phnom Pehn, so I wasn't over excited about being there. It's a very busy city, and coming from the tranquility of Koh Chang (which in itself is becoming busy), I didn't take to it as I might on a return visit or with a friend from Cambodia. The building is a hospital my architect friend Chris Nutter built. It's still standing, which is testiment to his skills. The fact that it serves so many people in need is testiment to the size of his heart. I can only hoep to do something so valuable to the wonderful people of Cambodia. They need and deserve our help.

The motion shots were taken on Sisowath Quay, near the FCC and across from the river. The variety of transportation, and the variety of things being transported, especially by motobike, are astounding. The woman is carrying lotus flower seeds, which they eat raw like nuts. The last shot is a very rare six people on one motobike. In fact I didn't even notice it was a six, I thought it was a fiver, until I zoomed in a bit and saw the baby in front of the woman in blue.
